Inclement Weather Alert:

We check the weather conditions and post any changes to testing schedule on the home page.  (ALWAYS click the refresh button when searching our site to update all information.)

New Hope Academy of TN offers on-site testing using the Stanford Achievement Test.  We begin scheduling appointments each year in January; for best selection of dates, please contact us early in the month at NHAStanfordTesting@gmail.com, especially if optional private testing is needed.

For high school students taking the ACT or SAT instead, please see our Resources page.

TEST FEES:

Current fees are listed below and are subject to change.  Payment should be made one week prior to scheduled test date.

Without a 48-hour notice or medical excuse, there is a $50 charge for missing a test date once the parent schedules it.  (Our test slots are limited to 8 per test day; absences without a 48-hour notice makes it impossible for us to schedule someone else in that slot.)

Inclement weather may cause cancellation of a test date.  In that case we post closing information on our homepage.  (Please click on the home page and refresh it to ensure it is properly updated.)

Kingsport, TN  37663

ARRIVAL TIME:

CELL PHONES:
Students may bring a cell phone, but it MUST be placed on silent while on campus and it MUST NOT be used during testing.

DRINKS and FOOD:
Drinks and food MUST not be consumed at computer stations.  (They may be consumed in appointed areas only.)  Drinks must have a screw-on lid and snacks should be simple and not create a mess.

BATHROOM  BREAK:
Students may take a bathroom break as needed but each student must inform testing coordinator he or she is breaking and must give notice upon return.

EXPECTED  BEHAVIOR:
It is expected that students will be orderly and compliant during their time of testing.  They should arrive on time, be quiet and non-disruptive to others, listen to and follow instructions, quietly inform testing coordinator of need to begin each new section, ask questions quietly and as needed, and treat others with respect and kindness.

TEST  RESULTS:
Test results are usually available within 15 minutes of test completion; there have been rare delays due to system capabilities.  As is available, the staff will provide test results to PARENTS, but it is the school's policy NOT to discuss results with students.  (We believe it is the parent's decision to or not to provide those results to their child(ren).  If the parent does not pick the child up from testing, the staff will deliver the results in a sealed envelope for the student to give to the parent.  Staff may discuss results with students upon parental request.)
